Wirefetch 0.9.3 released -- september 5th, 2004

This is a minor version.
It will basically used to build packages from wirefetch.
Code that has been chased is mostly to allow it to run in a packaged form

Wirefetch 0.9.2 released -- july 24th, 2004

You can grab version 0.9.2 from either cvs or as a tarball. (The configuration file has changed a lot and you should upgrade it for sure if you upgrade wirefetch.)

It has the following new stuff:

Image support Wirefetch can fetch and handle images associated with your items and present them in your newswires. It's still rather limited.
Converting feeds Wirefetch can convert your fetched feeds to another charset if needed (we use iconv for that)
mysql support Is a lot more configurable and flexible right now.
newswire cleaning Double entries are filtered out. nasty html will be filtered out in your newswire

Wirefetch 0.9 released -- july 15th, 2004

Wirefetch version 0.9 is released. You can download it from either cvs or as a tar.gz. check our install page in the manual.

This is not a stable or production release. In the cvs you can find a CHANGELOG and HOW_TO where you can find both the changes and the things we plan to do.

If you use it, have fun with it ... :-)

WireFetch

Wirefetch is a commandline script written in php. It can fetch rss-feeds and xml wires and make merged feeds and newswires for you. It can also insert all the fetched stuff in a database.

We're still building up this site. The only thing available is a how_to.
